Does the luau have a waitlist if a date is sold out?

We do not have a waitlist. We ask you, please, look for an alternative date. Otherwise, check back to see if availabilities open. If cancelations are made, the calendar will be updated in real time.

What's Included In The Voyagers Of The Pacific Luau?

Your experience begins with a big aloha welcome. Kicking off the evening is our scrumptuous all-you-care-to-eat buffet showcasing local ingredients and island dishes. Complimentary standard well cocktails, mai tais, non-alcoholic drinks, beer and wine are available throughout the evening. For an additional cost, premium cocktails and wine are offered. Our show features a fiery song and dance review at our stunning oceanfront location at water's edge making our luau the best on the island.

Are Your Luau Shows Held Nightly?

The Voyagers of the Pacific Luau at Royal Kona Resort is held every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday evening, starting at 5:00pm. The gates open at 4:30pm.

May I Choose My Seats For The Show?

All seating is at communal tables. General admission seating is open seating while VIP seating is pre-assigned. Tickets may be purchased online in advance, subject to availability.

Can I Make Seating Arrangements For A Large Party?

Yes, we can accommodate large parties. Please call us to make arrangements.

I Want To Sit Up-Front By The Stage. Can I Make Reservations For That?

Yes, we do offer VIP seating for an additional cost that includes premium center stage seating along with other perks like priority dinner buffet access, kukui nut lei, and souvenir tiki mug.  VIP seating is pre-assigned. These seats may be purchased online in advance, subject to availability.

Do You Have Gluten-Free Or Vegetarian/Vegan Options?

The Voyagers of the Pacific features a variety of great food choices from our buffet for almost every taste - including vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free options to accommodate guests with food allergies or food intolerances. No additional special menu requests are available.

How Do I Get To The Voyagers Of The Pacific Luau Show?

Getting here is easy and lets you travel on a road once reserved exclusively for Hawaiian royalty - Alii Drive. We are just 9 miles south of Kona International Airport. From the airport, turn right on Queen Kaahumanu Highway and continue into Kailua-Kona. Take a right on Palani Road and drive right down to the ocean where it makes a natural left turn onto Alii Drive. The Luau show is held at Royal Kona Resort, located across the bay as you make the turn. Approximately one mile ahead on your right is your destination. The address is 75-5852 Alii Drive, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740.

I Will Be Driving To The Voyagers Of The Pacific Luau. Where Can I Park?

If you are joining us and are not a guest of the Royal Kona Resort, parking is available at the hotel on a first come, first serve basis for a fee. Parking availability is not guaranteed and is only valid for the duration of the show. Parking validations are available upon check-in at the luau. Validation rate is $5.00. Payment is by debit/credit card only, we do not accept cash.

What Is The Best Way To Dress For A Night At The Luau?

The Luau is outdoors in a casual, family-oriented environment. We suggest you dress comfortably and wear closed toe walking shoes. Check your local weather report as conditions can change quickly.

  • During the summer months, wear light clothing but be aware the temperature may drop quite a bit after the sun goes down. Bring sunscreen, a light sweater, sunglasses and a hat.
  • During the winter months, we suggest long pants and long-sleeved shirts. You may also want to bring a sweater or light jacket with you as well.

What Types Of Identification Are Required To Enjoy Alcoholic Beverages?

All guests who wish to consume an alcoholic beverage at the Voyagers of the Pacific Luau must be 21 years of age or older and present a valid form of identification. We accept the following:

  • Valid Driver's License or State ID card that includes your date of birth and a photo
  • Active Military ID that includes your date of birth and a photo
  • Valid passport

Please note that temporary driver's licenses, temporary ID cards and photocopies of passports, driver's licenses or ID cards are not acceptable.

Are You Able To Accommodate Persons With Disabilities?

Yes, we can accommodate guests with disabilities. Our Luau grounds are wheelchair accessible.

Can We See The Imu Ceremony?

Currently the traditional Imu Ceremony is not visible to the public as to comply with health standards.

Can I Bring My Kids To The Luau? Is There Anything For Them To Do?

Yes! Our Luau is family-oriented and kid-friendly.

We Are Celebrating A Special Occasion, Is There Anything You Can Do To Help Make Our Day More Special?

During the Luau show we do a special shout-out for people celebrating anniversaries and birthdays, and in recognition of newlyweds we can mention your names specifically provided you contact us at least 24 hours before the Luau date to advise.
